HI, I'M ERIN

I work with people who want lasting change, want to improve their health and performance, and generally get 'unstuck', so they are not just going through the motions every day.

I help my clients find calmness and self-compassion, by guiding them through a process to better understand themselves and the impact of past experiences. I work in a holistic way, focusing on the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects that you have.

As a Clinical Psychologist with 19 years of experience, I offer personalised coaching that goes beyond surface-level solutions. I delve deep into the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and spirit to address the root causes of your challenges.

I want you to know that....I am here to listen to you and work with you to move forwards. Painful experiences can be incredibly difficult, but it doesn't mean that they have to keep you stuck. We are social beings, and sometimes we need some help to move forward.

HOW I WORK

At the core of my approach is a belief that we are made up of different parts, and I welcome all parts into the room. I've found that listening to all parts of ourselves, can help bring a greater understanding to ourselves, increase calmness and confidence, and bring greater self-compassion.

WORKING WITH ME IS:

  • Compassionate: I believe that most people have not learnt to be compassionate towards themselves, and it's not always valued. However, it's central to transforming our relationship with ourselves if we want to make change.

    • Deep: The training I have and work I do goes beyond just talking. I help you look towards and experience your inner world, which can reduce the impact of stressful past experiences. I want to help you get to the core and access the unconscious processes that continue to impact you.

    • Holistic: My approach means that I'm working with lots of different aspects and parts of you. There is an intricate system working within us, that impacts use on a physical, emotional and spiritual way. If you're interested, I am also trained in Astrology, and can utilise this in our coaching together.

    • Personalised: We are all different, and I respect all parts of you that come to work with me.

What is Brainspotting?

How Brainspotting Works

This technique involves identifying specific points in your visual field that are connected to emotional or physical sensations. By focusing on these points, we can access and process deeply rooted experiences stored in your subconscious mind.

What to Expect?

Using Brainspotting in session, we will explore what has brought you to work with me, and we will connect the physical sensations that you’re feeling in your body, when thinking about these issues, and find a spot in your visual field, where these feelings and sensations are felt the most. We spend some times focused on the points in the visual field. Often this technique uses less talking, which can be quite strange.

How it can help you.

Brainspotting can be effective for addressing a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. It can help you process past experiences, release emotional blockages, and promote healing.

What is Internal Family Systems?

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that works with all the different parts of you. It helps you get to know and access the protective and wounded parts of yourself, so you can understand them and help them heal.

How it Works

IFS is based on the idea that we all have parts of us that make-up who we are. IFS looks directly at these parts of you, and your whole inner system (the parts that protect you and the parts that feel vulnerable e.g. your anxious parts, your critical parts, your overwhelmed parts etc). Listening to the different parts of ourselves, can help us feel calmer and more connected, as well as understanding ourselves better.

What to Expect

Together we will work to explore the patterns, and emotions that you’re struggling with. Inner conflicts are likely to be parts of this. And when you feel comfortable, I’ll guide you to directly connect to the different parts of you, that are trying to cope with
